Toner is most beneficial and appropriate for people who use makeup or other heavy skin products such as sunscreen, with honeysuckle and acne-prone skin, or for people who wish additional washing.

  • It's shrinking pores.
When applied to a soft cotton ball or pad with a little toner, gently blotting and wiping the face with it, the oil is absorbed and the pores look smaller.

  • This restores the pH balance of your skin.
Our skin is naturally acidic, usually with a pH equilibrium of five to six (0 to 14). But after purification, this balance is possible because of the alkaline nature of the soap. If this happens, the skin needs more time to return to its normal level (and this may lead to oil), but using a toner may help rapidly restore this balance.

  • This provides a protective layer.
After cleansing, toner can help close pores and tighten cell gaps, reducing contamination and impurities into the skin. Chloe and minerals present in tap water can even be protected and removed.

  • It's like a hydrating agent.
Some toners are moisturisers which help to attach moisture to the skin.

  • It calming the skin.
Instead of washing your skin, toner can also be used when it is oily or dirty. Even if you are on the go, your skin will be revitalised.

  • It can prevent hair from growing up.
Toners that contain glycolic acid or other alpha hydroxy acids can help prevent incubated hair, so it also helps to groom.
